PVC
PVC is a rigid or flexible polyvinyl chloride plastic whose smooth, nonporous surface and manufacturing additives make paint adhesion product-specific.
Paint compatibility with PVC
Spray paint can bond to PVC when approved for the plastic and applied to a clean, dry surface after the product’s specified preparation and curing.

Ardeña uses woven PVC tarpaulins as canvases for his Ghost Painting series, printing everyday product packaging onto the grid before painting over it with elastomeric exterior paint. The flexible advertisement tarp becomes both the picture support and part of the work’s everyday material vocabulary.
