Water mixable oil paint contains paint pigments and liquid oil. The oils include linseed, walnut, safflower, and more. The oils are flammable. However, manufacturers modify the oil and make it prohibited for low and general temperature flammability.
Most water mixable oil paint needs more than 90 degrees Celsius or 194 degrees Fahrenheit plus an open fire to start burning, which is a very high temperature.
What are the water mixable oil paint burning or flush points?
Flash point varies by formulation and added medium, so use the manufacturer’s safety data sheet rather than assuming one ignition temperature applies to all water-mixable oils.
