Dry-Erase Paint

Dry-erase paint is a functional coating formulated to create a smooth surface that can be written on with dry-erase markers and wiped clean after the coating has fully cured.

Dry-erase paint surface compatibility

Dry-erase paint can turn several smooth indoor surfaces into writable boards, but the base must be clean, even, properly primed, and allowed to cure for the full time specified by the product.

Surface Compatibility Preparation Primer or ground Finish Guide
Drywall Excellent on smooth indoor drywall Repair defects, sand smooth, remove dust, and make sure the wall is clean and dry. Use the recommended white primer or base coat for adhesion and brightness. Allow the full cure before writing or erasing.
Wood Good when smooth and properly prepared Clean, sand smooth, remove dust, and address knots, defects, or unstable existing finish. Use the recommended white primer or base coat. Keep the finished surface indoors and allow the stated cure before marker use.
Concrete Good on smooth, cured indoor concrete Make sure the concrete is cured, dry, sound, clean, and smooth enough for writing and erasing. Use the recommended white primer or compatible base coat. Allow the complete cure before regular marker use.
Metal Good with suitable preparation Remove rust or loose coating, clean, degrease, dry, and smooth the surface. Use the compatible primer system specified for the metal and dry-erase coating. Allow the full cure before writing, erasing, or cleaning.
