Bituminous Paint
Bituminous paint is a protective coating based on bitumen or asphaltic binders. It is typically used to form a black, water-resistant film on metal, concrete, masonry, timber, and other approved building surfaces where corrosion and weather protection matter more than decorative color choice.
Bituminous paint compatibility
Bituminous coatings are commonly used for waterproofing, weather protection, and corrosion resistance. Many products are solvent-based and black, and their suitability for sunlight, immersion, drinking-water contact, topcoating, or particular metals is product-specific. Porous substrates may also require a compatible bitumen primer before the finish coats.
