Brick
Brick is a porous masonry unit usually made from fired clay. Its textured surface can absorb water and allow moisture vapor to move through a wall.
Concrete
Concrete is a porous building material made from cement, water, and aggregate. It hardens through curing and can continue moving moisture through its surface.
Plaster
Plaster is a smooth or textured wall finish made from gypsum, lime, cement, or similar mineral binders. New plaster remains porous as it cures and dries.
