Silicone
Silicone is a flexible, low-surface-energy elastomer used in molds, seals, phone cases, prosthetics, and soft molded parts. Ordinary paint usually adheres poorly unless the coating is specifically designed for silicone.
Silicone paint compatibility
Purpose-made silicone paint systems are the reliable starting point, while ordinary acrylic or aerosol coatings should not be assumed to bond to flexible silicone.
