Foam Board
Foam board, also called foam core, is a lightweight panel commonly made with a foam core between paper facings. The facing and exposed foam edges can respond differently to paint, so the exact board and coating both matter.

Acrylic paint is a straightforward choice for many paper-faced foam boards, while spray paint should be used only when the exact formula is compatible with both the facing and exposed foam core.
