MDF
MDF is an engineered wood panel made by compressing wood fibers with resin. Its faces are smooth, but cut edges absorb considerably more paint and primer.
MDF paint compatibility
Several common furniture paints and functional magnetic coatings work well on MDF, but the porous faces and cut edges need sealing and sanding for an even finish.
